Adding hyperlinks to your word processor documents is an easy way to give your readers quick access to information on the web, in another part of your document or another file (like a spreadsheet or presentation), without having to include that content on the page.
Using hyperlinks is an important part of integrating different software.
You can link a word or phrase in your document to an external web page.
First, load up the web page to which you want to link in your web browser. you will need to copy the URL (web address) for the web page.
In the document, highlight the text or image you want to add the link to.
On the menu click on the Insert tab and select Hyperlink.
In the Insert Hyperlink window, select Existing File or Web Page. Type (or copy and paste) the URL of the web page into the Address field.
Click OK to save the hyperlink.
