Formatting a Report
Once you have created a database report, you need to format it.
You can format a report in the same way you format a form in your database.
Open the report in Design view .
When every you make any changes to your report, use the Print Preview command to check that your report will looks and print ok. You can always click on Design view again to change the report.

Add a Report Heading
Use the Label tool to add the business name in the header of the report. You might need to increase the height of the header to fit the new heading in.
Format the report headings by changing the font size, font style and colour.
Change the Report Colour Scheme
Change the colour scheme for the report design using the Design tab.
You can select individual parts of the report and change the background colour using the command on the Home tab.
Sometimes it is useful to highlight key information in your report.
When we created our report, we added a Grouping Level for the city. You can select a field and heading on the report and highlight them using the bold, italics, underline, font style and font size commands.
Moving and Arranging Fields
Sometimes the fields on your report don't display all the data. You might need to rearrange, move or resize different fields so everything fits correctly.
To resize a field, click on the field and drag the yellow border to make it larger or smaller.
You can also move fields to different places in your report. Click on the field and drag it to its new position on the report.
In the image below, the surname and first name fields have been moved together and the address fields have been oved together.
Headings on your report can be formatted, moved, resized, updated and deleted.
To format a heading, select the heading then use the formatting tools to change its appearance.
Headings can be deleted if they are not needed. Click on a heading and then press the delete key.
You can update a heading by clicking on the heading text to it is highlighted. Type in the new text you want for the heading.
Adding a Copyright Line and Contact Details
You can use the Label command to add a copyright statement, business address, web site address and email address to the footer (or header) or your report.
Click on the Label command and then select where you want to add the text.
Type the text in and format it using the different formatting tools.

Use the command to add a logo in the header of your report.
