Distributed Denial of Services (DDoS)
A Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack is where a cybercriminal (or group of cybercriminals) attempt to make a computer network unavailable to users.
The network is flooded by network traffic preventing other users from accessing the network or forcing the network to run slowly.
DDoS attacks usually happen on an internet sites or online services. The internet site or service is stopped from functioning efficiently or at all. This can be temporary or permanent.
